Susannah

Cookie Crumbs

Cafeteria fun. I heart kids. I believe she's a faculty member's daughter, and her sister on the left.

An Afternoon of Arias

Backstage.

Opening Night @ Brevard Music Center

Locals, students and visitors herd toward Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium before the opening night perfomance. Affectionate couples everywhere, it's beautiful.

Maestro David Effron leads the Brevard Music Center Orchestra (BMCO) in Beethoven's Fifth...dah, dah, dah, dummm.

Violinists watch the orchestra perform backstage as they await their second entrance.

Intermission.

A Wedding

I flew home for my cousin's wedding earlier this month. I wasn't the photographer, but I shot a little for fun. I LOVE all things weddings and hopefully I'll do more of this in the future.

Here's the slideshow I put together as a gift for the couple.

Picture Story* Photo Essay: Aging Gracefully

A photo essay about people staying active as they age. Photographed in Columbia, MO, March through May '07. This project is somewhat of an extension of my first aging story, "An Aging Mind", and my first attempt at an essay. I really love working with seniors, and it has become sort of a continued personal project.

Picture Story* Five Points of View: "The Look of Generosity"

Valentine's Day at Salon Nefisa in Columbia, MO was about organizing a day for people to give years of hair growth to Locks of Love. The hair goes to needy children who have lost their hair to illness and cancer treatment. Erika Breedlove cut her hair for Locks of Love for the first time in 2002, and has encouraged a total of 60 people to donate their hair every year since then. Six years and many haircuts later, Breedlove collected 20 feet of hair from men and women, including herself, on February 14, 2007 to donate.
